Im Training und Wettkampf ist Solid kein Ersatz für das Hydrogel – es wird ergänzend eingesetzt.

Für Marathonläufer ist Solid der perfekte Recovery-Snack, um nach dem Training oder Wettkampf, Kohlenhydrate schnell zu ersetzen. Auch als Ersatzmahlzeit vor dem Rennen kann Solid verwendet werden. Für Radfahrer ist Solid eine hervorragende Energiequelle für Ausfahrten in geringer bis mittlerer Intensität sowie ein effektiver Snack vor oder nach dem Training.

I bought this in preparation of my first half Ironman race. I didn’t want any surprises during the on course nutrition. Although it’s expensive, twice as much as HUMA or Honey Stinger, it seems to work very well for me…great energy, easy to eat, compact, not messy. The texture is different than anything I’ve tried. It seems like a solid product.

First impressions are good. In terms of effectiveness it’s fare to say that it does make the difference. I like the fact that all the products taste pretty the same. I don’t care much about the taste as long as it works so it may not be for everyone. I also like the quantity of carbs per gel, bar or drink. It’s very easy to know how much your are consuming per hour. I first tried it on a 100 mile ride and it worked perfectly. You have also used it before a Time Trial and it also was effective. In regards to digestion it was ok although I had a bit of toilet emergency a few hours after my ride. I guess it takes a bit of time to get used to it. All in all, I will definitely buy it again.

I think the consistency is terrible and really hard to swallow. The taste is very unpleasant as well. The fructose doesn't work for my stomach and gives me loose stools. I can only use this as emergency nutrition if I have 40 minutes or less left to run.
