Drink Mix now contains a minimal amount of sodium bicarbonate. Many sports drinks are acidic, which can harm teeth enamel. The sodium bicarbonate in Drink Mix helps to maintain a neutral pH (not lower than pH6).

Drink Mix is a pH-sensitive liquid when mixed with 500ml of water. When it meets the acidic environment of the stomach, an instant reaction occurs that converts the liquid into a hydrogel. The hydrogel encapsulates the carbohydrates, enabling the transportation of fuel through the stomach. Once in the intestines, the hydrogel dissolves and the carbohydrates are released and absorbed.
Comfort matters. Consuming large volumes of liquid during sport can cause a sloshing or bouncing sensation in the stomach. It’s a feeling of discomfort that limits performance.
