The Fuel Planner also includes an edit feature that gives athletes the ability to fully control their fuel plan or lean on the prescribed guidance as they learn to master the art of fueling. Visualizations of the course elevations and route maps give context to the fuel timing. Calculations provide the athlete with a transparent insight into what dictates their fueling expenditure and needs.

How should I use the Fuel Planner?

The Fuel Planner is a nutritional recommendation tool that provides individualized fuel plans and insights — currently optimized for racing. By answering a few questions, the planner creates a detailed plan with pre-race, during-race, and post-race recommendations. In edit mode, these recommendations can be customized further by adding personal preferences. On the export page, the fuel protocol can be saved to the device, or the user can return to maurten.com.

Q:

The Fuel Planner gives a recommendation for products that I don’t prefer. Can I change the output to another product type?

A:

Yes, you can. In the “edit mode”, you can toggle the product preferences to any combination of products. This will give you a new fuel plan, containing only the preferred product types.
